SlingPlayer iPhone App Streams Video Over Wi-Fi; No 3G

DMWMedia is reporting that Slingmedia is putting together an application that lets iPhone users stream their home TV channels to the device over a Wi-Fi connection. The application reportedly only supports WiFi only and not 3G. Apparently Apple and network partner AT&T disabled the application to stream video over a 3G connection fearing that it’ll take over the bandwidth. The same application is available for Blackberry and Motorola Q and is not blocked with 3G usage.
